Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. In between searching through history for the other time-travelers and asking for a bit of their blood (gross!), she’s been trying to figure out what all the mysteries and prophecies surrounding the Circle really mean.
At least Gwen has plenty of help. Her best friend Lesley follows every lead diligently on the Internet. James the ghost teaches Gwen how to fit in at an eighteenth century party. And Xemerius, the gargoyle demon who has been following Gwen since he caught her kissing Gideon in a church, offers advice on everything. Oh, yes. And of course there is Gideon, the Diamond. One minute he’s very warm indeed; the next he’s freezing cold. Gwen’s not sure what’s going on there, but she’s pretty much destined to find out. (goodreads)

I like this book so far. The story is still entertaining and kind of page-turner. To tell you the truth, I couldn't stop reading it. The most thing I am curious about is why did Count Saint-German kill his ancestor, the first time traveler in Man-Line. The crush between Gideon and Gwyn is, actually, common love story. But I found it's still interesting, although it doesn't make sense for me to have Gideon and Gwyn fell in love that fast. Owh, yeah, maybe it's just "a monkey love" haha, it's the term in Bahasa Indonesia actually. Yeah, just say it's love at the first sight and end of the problem.

The most character I like is still Leslie! She's kind of good girl for Gwyn. She's not pretty smart I think, but she's so curious and she also work hard to fulfill her curiosity. I also like to find she can get along with Raphael, Gideon's brother. But again, I think it's not really natural. I feel the author wants to make Leslie and Raphael as a couple like she does to Gideon and Gwyn. Hmmm....

Some don't like this book and some do, including me. In my opinion, this book is very light and easy going although it talks about chronograph and time travel related. It's unlike Wrinkle in Time which most talks about Tesseract and frankly, I couldn't understand what's about. But I love Wrinkle in Time. It's brilliant book!
So, back to Sapphire Blue. Since this book is easy-going, so it's good to read especially for you who want to try reading a science fiction but  don't wanna feel dizzy by its complicated.

OK, this book is counted in Ren's New Author RC and Teh Peni's RC English. :)
